Irish Blessings [Part 3]

I wish you health,
I wish you well,
and happiness galore.
I wish you luck for you and friends;
what could I wish you more?

If God sends you down a stony path,
May He give you strong shoes.

If I had a flower for every time I thought of you,
I could walk through my garden forever.

If you're enough lucky to be Irish...
You?re lucky enough!

In the New Year,
may your right hand always be stretched out
in friendship and never in want.

It's easy to be pleasant when life flows by like a song.
But the man worth while is the one who can smile
When everything goes dead wrong.

Like the goodness of the five loaves and two fishes,
Which God divided among the five thousand men,
May the blessing of the King who so divided
Be upon our share of this common meal.

Let the Moon and the Stars pour their healing light on you

Like the warmth of the sun
And the light of the day,
May the luck of the Irish
shine bright on your way.

Luck of milk and of plentiful ale,
successful advice in every matter,
success in procreation, fame with prosperity,
success in raiding hence, and victory in war.

Lucky stars above you,
Sunshine on your way,
Many friends to love you,
Joy in work and play-
Laughter to outweigh each care,
In your heart a song-
And gladness waiting everywhere
All your whole life long!

Man's blessing and God's blessing,
may they all be on you together,
on your children, on your offspring unscathed,
may no calamity befall them.

May all your joys be pure joys,
and all your pain champagne.

May blessings await you always!

May brooks and trees and singing hills
Join in the chorus, too.
And every gentle wind that blows
Send happiness to you.

May dawn find you awake and alert,
approaching your new day
with dreams, possibilities, and promises.
May evening find you gracious and fulfilled.
May you go into the night blessed, sheltered, and protected.
May your soul calm, console, and renew you.

May each day have its own wonder and rebirth,
Its molding of new life from unwilling clay,
Its springing in surprise from reluctant earth,
Its hint of victory on final Judgment Day,
And may the God of daily resurrections bless you,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

May embers from the hearth warm your hands,
May sunshine from an Irish sky warm your face,
May a child’s bright smile warm your heart,
And may everlasting love warm your soul.

May every rough spot before us be smooth.
May every difficulty before us be easy.

May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day.
May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.
May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue.
And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.

May friendship, like wine,
improve as time advances.
And may we always have
old wine, old friends, and young cares

May God be with you and bless you.

May God be with you and bless you
May the best of this year be the worst of the next
May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward

May God be with you and bless you,
May you see your children's children,
May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

May God bless and keep in good health
your enemies, enemies.

John Lennon Quotes [part 1]

“A dream you dream alone is only a dream.
A dream you dream together is reality.”

“A mistake is only an error,
it becomes a mistake when you fail to correct it”

“All you need is love.”

“As usual, there is a great woman behind every idiot.”

“Avant-garde is French for bullshit”

“Before Elvis there was nothing.”

“Being honest may not get you a lot of friends
but it’ll always get you the right ones”

“But I can be alone without Yoko, but I just have no wish to be.
There’s no reason on earth why I should be alone without Yoko.
There’s nothing more important than our relationship, nothing.
And we dig being together all the time.
Both of us could survive apart but what for?
I’m not going to sacrifice love, real love
for any whore or any friend or any business,
because in the end you’re alone at night and neither of us want to be.
And you can’t fill a bed with groupies.
It doesn’t work. I don’t want to be a swinger.
I’ve been through it all and nothing works better
than to have someone you love hold you.”

“Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink.
I don't know what will go first, rock 'n' roll or Christianity.
We're more popular than Jesus now.
Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary.
It's them twisting it that ruins it for me.”

“Count your age by friends, not years.
Count your life by smiles, not tears.”

“Creativity is a gift.
It doesn't come through if the air is cluttered.”

“Declare it. Just the same way we declare war.
That is how we will have peace...
we just need to declare it.”

“Everybody loves you when you're six foot in the ground.”

“Everybody seems to think I'm lazy
I don't mind, I think they're crazy.
Running everywhere at such a speed
Till they find there's no need.”

“Everything is clearer when you're in love.”

“Everything will be okay in the end.
If it's not okay, it's not the end.”

“For those of you in the cheap seats
I'd like ya to clap your hands to this one;
the rest of you can just rattle your jewelry!”

“Free as a bird
It's the next best thing to be
Free as a bird.
Home, home and dry
Like a homing bird I'll fly
As a bird on wings.
Whatever happened to
The life that we once knew?
Can we really live without each other?
Where did we lose the touch
That seemed to mean so much?
It always made me feel so free.”

“Give peace a chance”

“Give us a kiss”

“God is a concept by which we measure our pain”

“Happiness is just how you feel when you don't feel miserable.”

“How can I go forward when I don't know which way I'm facing?”

“I am a violent man who has learned not to be violent and regrets his violence.”

“I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.”

Buddha Quotes And Teachings [Part 3]

All existence is characterized by a sense of suffering in which there is no lasting satisfaction.

All fabrications and fixations of the mind remain stressful.

All forms are unreal; whoever realizes this transcends pain.

All happiness arises from the desire for others to be happy.

All know the way, but few follow it.

All misery comes from the desire to be happy.

All of the senses are manifest, but they are void of stability.

All pain comes from resisting the actual truth.

All sayings about the Dhamma say the same thing in different ways.

All that is subject to arising is subject to ceasing.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

All things are objects for insight meditation. Just keep noting them with concentrated awareness, keeping the field of perception clear of any associations or dependencies.

All things are simultaneously interdependent and impermanent.

All things are uncertain. Uncertainty is the nature of all things.

All things knowable to the senses are things of this world; that which is not knowable to the senses is the Dhamma. That’s the paradox.

All things of this world die; they have death built-in.

Almost hidden in the darkness, the crane dreams in wintry nights

Amassing wealth is like trying to fill a bottomless-vessel.

An angry mind does not discern or fear danger.

An awakened mind is able to predict how it will act or react in the future, based upon what it is doing now.

An awakened one does not relish offerings but seeks seclusion instead.

An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.

An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.

An irritable person affects all those around him with stress and distress.

Buddha Quotes And Teachings [Part 2]

A perpetrator can deceive everyone but himself.

A person who cleaves to worldly possessions and passions is like a child
eating honey smeared on the edge of a knife.

A person who part of the world, like everything else, falls apart and dies.

A shaven-head does not make one a wise ascetic.

A snowflake never falls in the wrong place.

A Sutta should be read again and again, lest its message be lost.

A taste of Dhamma conquers all taste for tastes.

A thousand mountain ranges face the highest peak.

A tranquil mind is a mind that is focused and clear.

A tree, even when it has been cut to a stump, will sprout and grow again.

A true Buddhist works for the well-being and happiness of all.

A white heron on a snowfield hides itself, unseen in its own image.

A wise one becomes full of goodness, just as drops of water fill a pot.

A wise one, holding a scale,
perceives when just even one speck of worldly dust
produces an imbalance.

A woman’s fragrance is the most alluring of them all.

A wrong action, like milk, soon turns sour.

A wrongly-directed mind brings greater harm than any enemy.

Abandoning self-indulgence opens the door to wisdom, clarity and compassion.

Admiration, clothed in praise, is a spiritual disaster disguised as a blessing.

Advanced practitioners do not have to be sitting; one can practice while engaged in any activity.

After listening to our teachers, whether we walk the path is up to us alone.

After making merit for a long time,
one experiences desirable, pleasant,
charming results for a long time.

After Siddhartha became a Buddha, he left Siddhartha behind.

After spring rain, dried-roots sprout again.

All created things perish; whoever realizes this transcends pain.

This brings a wish your way
Good health, good luck, and happiness
For today and every day.

For the test of the heart is trouble
And it always comes with years.
And the smile that is worth the praises of earth
Is the smile that shines through the tears.

Four blessings upon you...
Older whiskey
Younger women
Faster horses
More money

and thank the Lord
you're on your feet.

God between us and all harm

God bless the corners of this house
and all the lintel blessed,
And bless the hearth
and bless the board
and bless each place of rest,
And bless each door that
opens wide to strangers as to kin,
And bless each crystal window pane
that lets the starlight in,
And bless the rooftree overhead
and every sturdy wall.

The peace of man.
The peace of God.
With peace and love for all.

God speed the Plow and bless the Cornmow.

Gra Go Deo
Love Forever

Grant me a sense of humor, Lord,
The saving grace to see a joke,
To win some happiness from life,
And pass it on to other folk.

Gura slán an scéalai
May the bearer of the news be safe.

Happiness being a dessert so sweet
May life give you more than you can ever eat.

Health and a long life to you.
Land without rent to you.
A child every year to you.
And if you can?t go to heaven,
May you at least die in Ireland.

Health and life to you;
The mate of your choice to you;
Land without rent to you,
And death in Eirinn.

Health for life to you,
A wife of your choice to you,
Land without rent to you,
A child every year to you,
And the light of heaven after this world for you.

Holy Mother take the harm of the years away from you.

I-rish you a very nice place to live,
I-rish God's greatest gifts he'll give.
I-rish you health, and wealth, and more
I-rish your smilin' face were at my door!

Irish Blessings [Part 1]

A world of wishes at your command,
God and his angels close at hand,
Friends and family, their love impart,
And Irish blessings in your heart.

Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But never forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.

Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.

As the sun rises gold
Over the Emerald Isle,
May your oat's hot steam
Warm your hard work smile.

As you slide down the banister of life,
May the splinters never point the wrong way

Athbhliain faoi mhaise dhuit!
A prosperous New Year!

Bad to the bad, and good to the good.

Bail ó Dhia is Mhuire duit
The blessing of God and Mary on you.

Bail ó Dhia ort
The blessing of God on you.

Beannachtam na Femle Padraig
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Better plenty than too much.

Bless you and yours
As well as the cottage you live in.
May the roof overhead be well thatched
And those inside be well matched.

Bless your little Irish heart
and every other Irish part.

But rich or poor, Quick or slow,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

Céad míle beannachta.

One hundred thousand blessings.

Christ be with me,
be after me,
be before me,
and be at my right and left hand.
May everything I do be for Christ.

Christ be with me
Christ before me
Christ behind me
Christ in me
Christ beneath me
Christ above me
Christ on my right
Christ on my left
Christ where I lie
Christ where I sit
Christ where I arise
Christ in the heart of every man
who thinks of me
Christ in the mouth of every man
who speaks of me
Christ in every eye that sees me
Christ in every ear that hears me
Salvation is of the Lord.

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.
Count your joys instead of your woes;
Couut your friends instead of your foes.
Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.
Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth;
Love your neighbor as much as yourself.

Croi follain agus gob fliuch.
A healthy heart and a wet mouth!

Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening,

And live every day as if it were your last.

Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the smiling stars to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the watching shepherds to you.
Deep peace of the Son of Peace to you.

Dia is Muire duit
God and Mary to you.

Dia duit
God to you.

Fad saol agat.
Long life to you.

Buddha Quotes And Teachings [Part 1]

A day of wind and moon in an eternity of endless space.

A dog is not considered a good dog because he is a good barker. A man is not considered a good man because he is a good talker.

A family is a place where minds come in contact with one another. If these minds love one another, the home will be as beautiful as a flower garden. But if these minds get out of harmony with one another it is like a storm that plays havoc with the garden.

A mind-moment arises and ceases just like everything else.

A monk should not relax his energy and determination to achieve spiritual progress,
even when he is ill.

A monk who follows the monastic code of discipline will never use money
or engage in buying or selling.

A noble woman seeks the Dhamma beyond the beautiful.

A palm tree ripped out at the roots does not grow again.
